Praxis Placement Exams

A passing score on your respective content exam must be received before School of Education faculty will take action on your student teaching application. To find out what tests are needed, test code, time of test, number of questions, cost of the test, and passing score required. and other information. You can now register and select CSU Pueblo as a testing site.

    How do I register for Praxis?

    You can register online for Praxis at: https://www.ets.org/praxis/register/

    How much do the Praxis exams cost?

    Each exam is a different price. They range from $120-$160. To find the exact cost and details of your exam, please go to: https://www.ets.org/praxis/about/fees/

    What scores do I need to pass the test?

    I'm a CSU Pueblo Student. Where do I go to take my exam?

    When you register for your exam, you will be asked to choose a location.  CSU Pueblo testing center is a testing center.

    Any ETS approved testing center can be used to take the exam.  Please make sure that scores are reported to CDE.

    What happens if I don't pass?

    ETS requires a 21-day waiting period before re-taking an exam.  You may retake the exams as many times as needed in order to pass.  Taking exams early can ease anxiety so students do not feel rushed to pass the semester before student teaching. 

    Passing scores are required for student teachers to student teach in Colorado.
