Welcome, ThunderWolves! Orientation is your first step into the CSU Pueblo community. Our programs connect you and your family to the academic resources and support services you need for a successful transition.

Orientation Details

All new students attending CSU Pueblo in person or online complete Thunderwolf 101, the online orientation experience. All new students attending CSU Pueblo in person are required to attend an in-person orientation session to connect with campus, meet others, and get familiar with CSU Pueblo.

Thunderwolf 101: Online Orientation

Start here to complete your required online orientation. You will cover a variety of topics, such as completing the new student checklist, understanding the academic platforms you'll use, and ways to get involved and supported on campus.

Welcome to Thunderwolf 101! This is your first stop along your journey to becoming a CSU Pueblo Thunderwolf. We’re so glad you are here and have chosen to be a part of our campus community.

This Online Orientation has been designed to help you through getting started at CSU Pueblo. We have created different modules to give you information and resources that will help prepare you for your time here. You will cover a variety of topics, such as completing your new student checklist, understanding academics and the platforms we use, and ways to get involved.

Move through Thunderwolf 101 at your own pace. Take breaks whenever you need. This online orientation will save your progress, so when you come back, you'll pick up right where you left off. You’ll also be able to access this online orientation after completing it so that you can use this as a resource.

  • Understand and complete the New Student Checklist, which ensures you're completely ready to get started at CSU Pueblo.
  • Learn about all of the academic platforms and resources you'll use as a CSU Pueblo student.
  • Prepare for your first advising appointment with confidence so that you can focus on learning about your degree program, and getting any questions answered.
  • It takes most students about an hour to fully complete Thunderwolf 101, but you can take breaks whenever needed, and Thunderwolf 101 will save your progress.

In-Person Orientation

In person orientation is a crucial step to getting connected on campus, learning about your degree program, and getting all your questions answered by the experts and offices here to support you. All new students attending CSU Pueblo in person are required to attend in person orientation.

Reserve Your Orientation Spot

At In-Person Orientation, you will:

  • Meet fellow new students starting alongside you
  • Connect with your academic department and college to learn more about your major
  • Hear from current students on how to succeed at CSU Pueblo
  • Put faces to the offices and resources you learned about in Thunderwolf 101
  • Get familiar with campus, where your classes, key offices, and resources are located

Parents and guests are welcome, space is limited to two (2) guests per student. Guest tickets are available at registration.

  • Guests ages 5 to 13: $10
  • Guests ages 14 and older: $20

Online and graduate students are welcome but not required to attend.

International Students

International Orientation: August 22

International Students have a separate orientation session through the The Center of Student Support and Advocacy. This orientation is focused on community-building as an international student in a new city and also on answering any questions you have on transfer credit, financial aid, etc. 

International students have other activities scheduled to answer specific questions on the international student experience.
