*Triple rooms require one set of bunked beds.

**Single Rooms with private bathrooms are available for medical or other special accommodations only. There are limited single rooms (shared or private bath) within the buildings. Most of the beds available are in a double room with a shared bathroom with the double room next door.

Room rates include all utilities, internet access, and free laundry.

The $20.00 Residence Life Activity Fee is included in the $150 application fee. The activity fee is assessed to support Residence Hall Council programs, assist in training related to Residence Education, and provide educational and social activities within the Residence Halls and Living Learning Communities.

Walking Stick Apartments

Single Room w/ Shared Bath

Four bedroom apartment with two bathrooms

$150 per week

Summer Housing for CSU Pueblo students enrolled in summer classes at CSU Pueblo will be in Walking Stick Apartments. CSU Pueblo students receive priority for summer assignments. No rooms in any other location will be available as those spaces will be utilized for Summer Camps and Conferences.

If you are a current resident and are registered for summer housing, you will move to your new summer room over the weekend of May 19-21.

New residents who are not currently living on-campus may move into their placements on the date they selected on their application.

The last day of Summer Housing is August 4.

If you are not staying on for the Fall semester, you must be moved out by August 4 at 5:00 PM. If you are staying on campus for Fall, we will schedule moves to your new room following summer finals.


  • Student who graduated high school within the last academic year are eligible to live in Crestone Hall. Room types for the area are:
    • Double Room Suite
    • Single Room Suite with shared bathroom - limited availability
    • Double Room with Private bathroom - limited availability
    • Triple Room Suite - limited availability - must complete a waitlist request
  • Students who have been out of high school for at least one academic year (Typically Sophomores, Upperclassmen, Transfers, Graduate students) are eligible to live in Greenhorn Hall and Walking Stick Apartments. Room types for those areas are:
    • Greenhorn Hall:
      • Double Room Suite
      • Single Room with Private bathroom - limited availability
      • Single Room Suite with shared bathroom - limited availability
      • Double Room with Private bathroom - limited availability
      • Triple Room Suite - limited availability - must complete a waitlist request
    • Walking Stick Apartments:
      • Single room with shared bathroom in a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom townhouse apartment.

There are a limited number of built singles per building, but double rooms may be reduced to a single occupancy room if space is available.

Built singles include two types:

  1. Single room with a private bathroom: These rooms are initially reserved for ADA accommodations but will be released if not used.
  2. Single room with a shared bathroom: These rooms have a small shared living space and then two interior private rooms that share a bathroom located off the common living space.

  • Microwave/refrigerator combo (only in Residence halls)

To request a single room, please submit a waitlist request on our forms page. If offered a double room as a single room, please know that the extra set of furniture will remain in the room but you may move, loft, or bunk.

Kitchen/Dining Area includes:

  • Stove/oven unit
  • Full-size refrigerator
  • Garbage disposal in single sink
  • Table with chairs
  • Pantry
  • Microwaves are provided for Building 1 and Building 2. As buildings are renovated, they will receive a microwave.

Living Room includes:

  • Sectional sofa
  • Cable hookups

Each apartment contains a loft on the 2nd floor and an outside storage closet.

*Single Rooms available for medical or other special accommodations only; unused rooms will be assigned using the waitlist found on the Forms page.

University Walking Sticks Apartment

At 1,600 square feet, these large two-story townhouse-style units offer a number of amenities for students. Each resident gets their own private bedroom and shares the rest of the unit's amenities with their roommates. All agreements coincide with the school year (August through May).
