Current students will bring their card to the Walking Stick Desk from 10:00 am-9:00 pm where a Resident Assistant will encode your card and provide you with an RCR and you may begin moving in. If the staff is not present, a duty number will be posted on the door. Please call that number for assistance.

     *Don't forget your student ID!

    Fall Move In

    Updated 7/28/2020

New Students – Wednesday 8/19 through Saturday, 8/22 by 2:00 pm

This only applies to students who did not live in Housing at CSU-Pueblo in the previous Spring.

    1. Student ID: If you do not have your student ID, you need to first go to the Auxiliary Services office on the 2nd floor of the Occhiato Student Center. The office is open 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am-2:00 pm on Saturday, August 22nd. If they change their process, we will provide notice and new directions.
    2. Prior to Check-in: New Residents will receive an email with a link to sign-up for reserved timeslots. The timeslots will give two hours for the resident and up to 3 guests to check-in and move in belongings. To minimize the number of students and guests in the buildings, move-in times will be available over four days. Guests will only be allowed in the room during the two-hour timeslot. Roommates are not allowed to sign up for the same time to ensure the room is not overfilled with people. Roommates may choose adjacent times so that families can talk in the building lobby if desired.
    3. Check-in Process:
      1. Go to the OSC first to receive your student ID and to complete COVID-19 screening. You must have completed this before being allowed in the residence halls. Guests are also required to complete the screening process in OSC prior to entering the residence halls.
      2. New residents will begin the check-in process online when choosing a time. Most of the typical paperwork will be electronic. We highly encourage students to complete this prior to arriving on campus to decrease wait time and touchpoints.
      3. During chosen timeslot: Residents should arrive at the beginning of their timeslot to ensure they receive as much time as possible for their guests to assist them.
      4. After completing the screening process and obtaining your ID, you will go to a designated unloading zone based on your assignment:
        1. Residence Halls:
          1. Residents assigned to the 1st and 3rd floors will unload in the Parking Lot N-8, the large lot located behind the halls accessed by Walking Stick BLVD.
          2. Residents assigned to the 2nd and 4th floors will unload in the “Housing Oval” located in front of the Halls just off of Kremling Drive.
        2. Walking Stick Apartment
          1. Residents will park in either Parking Lot W-5 or W-6 and walk to the Clubhouse, located in the middle of the complex, next to the basketball court.
      5. You will need to complete an emergency contact form. This is currently the only paper form that will be required. It is on paper so that RLH always has access to important information in times of need.
      6. You are encouraged to bring a hand cart/dolly to assist with moving items. RLH has limited carts for use. RLH carts will be sanitized between each use.
      7. Once inside your room, there will be a poster on the back of the room door. A QR code will provide a link to a Room Condition Report for you to notate any issues with the rooms. Anything beyond basic wear and tear should be noted as this form will be used to assess damages upon checkout. Not completing a form indicates that the room is good condition with only basic wear and tear. Not completing a form will not remove responsibility for damages assessed.
      8. Unpack and settle in. RLH suggests only bringing necessities and working with your roommate so there is no duplication of items. The cleaner and less cluttered the room, the easier it is to avoid cross-contamination.

    * Students moving in earlier or later must contact the Residence Life Office at 719.549.2602 prior to moving in. An Early Request form is located on our forms page.

Returning Students – Friday through Sunday, 8/21-8/23 8:00am-6:00pm

    1. Student ID: If you do not have your student ID, you need to first go to the Auxiliary Services office on the 2nd floor of the Occhiato Student Center. The office is open 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Auxiliary Services will also be open Saturday (8/22) from 8:00am-2:00pm. If you do not have an ID after Auxiliary Services closes, you will be issued a temporary card until Monday.
    2. Housing Check-in: Returning residents will receive an email with a link to sign-up for reserved timeslots. The timeslots will give two hours for the resident and up to 3 guests to check-in and move in belongings. To minimize the number of students and guests in the buildings, move-in times will be available over four days. Guests will only be allowed in the room during the two-hour timeslot. Roommates may choose adjacent times so that families can talk in the building lobby if desired.
      1. Times will be available from Wednesday, 8/19 through Sunday, 8/23 for flexibility in moving, but returning students are encouraged to return between Friday and Sunday.
    3. You must have your student ID at this time because it must be activated as your room key.

Not completing a form indicates that the room is good condition with only basic wear and tear. Not completing a form will not remove responsibility for damages assessed.
    8. Unpack, get settled, and get ready for classes. RLH suggests only bringing necessities and working with your roommate so there is no duplication of items. The cleaner and less cluttered the room, the easier it is to avoid cross-contamination. Welcome back, ThunderWolves!
