Checking out of Housing

Spring Semester

Due to the 13-week and 16-week terms, we have two checkout periods. Please plan your checkout procedure based on the term selection you have chosen.

13-Weeks - checking out of Housing at the beginning of Spring Break

If you are leaving Residence Life & Housing before spring break and are not returning to your room after spring break, please select the link next to your assigned living space and signup for a check-out time at least 24 hours in advance.

Crestone Hall:

Culebra Hall:

Greenhorn Hall:

Walking Stick Apartments:

Guests: Up to two (2) guests will be allowed to assist with packing, cleaning, and moving belongings during schedule checkout hours (between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm Monday - Friday, and 8am and 9:30am on Saturday). All guests must check-in and screen at the Crestone Classroom before entering any hall or apartment. Guests are allowed in the halls/apartments for no more than two (2) hours. Screening begins at 8:00 am Monday through Saturday. No guests are allowed in the buildings or apartments after 9:00 pm. Residents will be held accountable for their guests and will be referred to the Student Conduct office if guests or residents violate current protocols.

16-Weeks - checking out after Finals in May

If you are leaving for spring break but will return for finals, you will sign-up for a timeslot at least 24 hours in advance. Timeslot links will be available after spring break. *You do not need to take all your belongings home for break. Only take what you need and make sure to follow the guidelines so we can control for pests and not waste utilities.*

If you would like to stay on-campus for spring break, you must complete the Spring Break Stay Form. There is not an extra charge but for safety and security reasons, we need to know who is and isn't on-campus. If you stay and fail to complete the form by the due date, you will be fined. More information can be found on the Break Housing page.
