As a Licensed Professional Counselor with 25 years of experience in private practice and 10 years of experience in a college setting, I am dedicated to helping people navigate challenges of life and learn lifelong skills to maintain well-being in the future. In the past 7 years, I have embraced alternative treatments that compliment traditional talk therapy. This promotes a more holistic approach to mental health care. My newest area of interest is increasing the services to meet the needs of male students on campus.
My therapeutic philosophy centers on the belief that your brain and body working together can lead to profound healing and growth. The methodologies I use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Integrative Mind Body Trauma Work, Holistic Wellness Education, and Solution Focused Therapy. I'm trained in a 5 point auricular protocol with needles called Acuwellness, TAPPAS, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Brain Synchronization Therapy. All of these modalities are strength-based approaches to therapy.
