What is Let's Talk?
Let’s Talk is a drop-in service hosted by Counseling Center Clinicians across campus that offers informal, confidential consultation and support.
During a Let's Talk session, you can speak with a clinician about concerns, get help problem-solving, and learn more about resources available to you at Colorado State University Pueblo and in the Pueblo area.
Let's Talk consultations are:
- Free for Colorado State University Pueblo students
- Offered on a first-come, first-served basis - no appointment necessary
- Confidential
- Informal and not intended to be a substitute for traditional mental health counseling
The Let's Talk Program is inspired in part by the “Let’s Talk” program at Cornell University.

What to Expect
- A one-on-one, 10-15 minute informal consultation with a staff member from the Counseling Center.
- New insights and solutions to your concerns.
- Information about resources on and off campus.

How to Sign Up
- Let's Talk sessions can only be accessed the day of.
- Find a Counseling Center clinician on campus every Wednesday to sign up. They will have a posted sign. Some current areas include the Residence Halls, Athletics, and the Student Center.

- Although Let’s Talk consultants are mental health professionals, Let’s Talk consultations do not constitute mental health treatment.
- Let’s Talk conversations are noted in student's wellness records as a contact or support note.
- Limits to confidentiality – By law, clinicians are required to report immediate threat of harm to you or others, when a minor, elderly person or someone otherwise incapacitated is being abused.
- If your Let’s Talk clinician assesses that you could benefit from a higher level of care, every effort will be made to refer you to other appropriate resources at the university and in the surrounding community.
