Eligibility for Services
Currently enrolled students are eligible to receive services at the Student Counseling Center. Counseling services are not provided for non-CSU-Pueblo students.
- Although the families and partners of CSU-Pueblo students may attend occasional consultations together with a CSU-Pueblo student who is in counseling at the Counseling Center, no ongoing counseling services are available to non-CSU-Pueblo students.
- The Student Counseling Center does not provide psychological assessments for diagnosing learning disabilities or attention disorders.
- The Student Counseling Center does not offer court-mandated or forensically oriented services to CSU-Pueblo students.
- Should a CSU-Pueblo student require counseling or psychological services beyond those offered by the Counseling Center, counselors will work with the student in identifying community resources to meet her/his needs. Examples of services beyond those offered at the center include long-term counseling requiring multiple sessions each week or long-term weekly counseling; counseling for students with full-fledged eating disorders that require intensive medical, psychiatric, and/or nutritional services, addictive disorders treatment, depression with suicidal ideation requiring on-going crisis intervention, and other similarly complex services as determined by the Director of the Student Counseling Center.
