When you call, staff can help you understand appointment availability, what information is needed, and what type of support may be the best fit.

What to expect

Starting counseling can feel unfamiliar, especially if you have never used counseling services before. The Wolfpack Counseling Center provides a private and supportive space where students can talk with a trained professional about what they are experiencing.

Before your appointment

You may be asked to share basic information about yourself and what kind of support you are looking for. This helps the Wolfpack Counseling Center better understand your needs.

During your appointment

You and your counselor may discuss your concerns, goals, current stressors, and possible next steps. Counseling is collaborative and centered on your needs.

Confidentiality

The Wolfpack Counseling Center is committed to providing a professional and confidential setting for students. Confidentiality helps create a safe environment where students can speak openly about personal concerns.

There may be specific legal or safety-related limits to confidentiality. Wolfpack Counseling Center staff can explain confidentiality and answer questions about privacy before or during an appointment.
