Research Opportunities
Research Opportunities
Go beyond the classroom by working alongside Biology faculty, exploring scientific questions, and building practical experience through laboratory and field-based research.
Learn Through Discovery
The Department of Biology provides students with opportunities to work one-on-one or in small groups with faculty members. Research allows students to develop new skills while exploring biological questions in greater depth.
Students are encouraged to participate in both laboratory and field-based research. These experiences provide opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in practical settings, work independently or collaboratively, and gain experience that can support future academic and career goals.
Build Experience That Matters
Participating in research can help students strengthen scientific skills while gaining experience beyond traditional coursework.
Interested in Research?
Biology students interested in research opportunities should contact a Biology faculty member to learn about available projects.
Projects may include students at different levels of study, while some opportunities may require completion of specific core courses. Students are also encouraged to seek field experience placements that align with their interests.
