Move-in Day Checklist

New Student Move-in: Friday, August 19th

  •

    General information

Move-in for new students is schedule from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Students received a link via text message and an email to sign-up for move-in times.

Check-in will begin at the Occhiato Student Center (OSC). Signs will be posted to direct students and guests to the OSC parking lot.

After completing the steps at the OSC, students and guests will use designated unloading zones based on their building and floor number. Carts are available but due to the number of students possibly moving in at one time, we encourage students and guests to bring personal handcarts/dollies to use.

  •

    Step 1: OSC Check-in

You may park in lot N-3 directly north of the Occhiato Student Center (OSC) and enter the building through the main doors located next to the Bookstore.

    1. Get your student ID: The first station will be staffed by the Auxiliary Services team. To receive your student ID, you must have a valid picture ID. You will get your picture taken at this station.
    2. Meal Plans & Mailboxes: This station will be staffed by the Auxiliary Services team. All residents can receive a free mailbox. For your protection, mailboxes are not assigned based on room numbers. You can also ask to update your meal plan selection. All students living in the Residence Halls are required to have a meal plan. If you do not choose one, one will be assigned to you.
    3. Housing Check-in: This station will be staffed by the Business Operations team in Residence Life & Housing. You must have your student ID to check-in with housing as your ID is your room key for students in the Residence Halls.
      1. Students will complete an emergency contact form. We have opted to keep these forms in paper format so we can easily secure information during emergencies. In addition to asking for contact information related to medical emergencies, we are required to separately ask for who to contact if the student is deemed to be missing. The contacts for both do not have to be the same person.
    4. Welcome Week Activities: There will be information posted about welcome week activities. We invite you to explore your options and make the most of your first week on campus.
    5. Parking: Staff from the Safety & Parking office will be there to answer any questions related to parking and parking passes.
  •

    Step 2: Move-in
