Running a business in southern Colorado takes passion — and support. The Healy Center at CSU Pueblo connects local businesses and organizations with student teams and expert faculty to bring fresh insights, energy, and real-world business skills to your biggest challenges.

Together, we help your organization grow and thrive while giving students hands-on experience that strengthens their future and our regional economy. This service is offered twice per academic year.

Connecting Students, Faculty, and Local Organizations

The Healy Center at Colorado State University Pueblo connects students, faculty, and area organizations through applied research and project-based learning. Our work supports sustainable economic development across southeastern Colorado while giving students valuable hands-on experience that directly benefits local businesses and organizations.

Space is limited. Assignment of student and faculty members to specific projects is based on skill alignment and availability.

Student-Led Project Planning Support

Students in advanced management and business courses receive training to create tailored project plans that align with your organizational goals.

These plans can help your organization:

  • Define your short- and long-term organizational objectives
  • Develop strategies to help drive your organization forward
  • Identify opportunities and address challenges
  • Improve resource allocation

How It Works

1. Reach Out Early

Interested businesses and organizations must contact the Healy Center at least three weeks before the start of the academic term.

2. Scoping Session

Meet with our CSU Pueblo team to define your goals and project needs.

3. Student Project Work

Students work through the semester, meeting with your team three times for 50-minute sessions to exchange information and ensure continued progress.

4. Final Presentation

Students present their completed project plans. Meetings are non-binding — organizations are free to implement the plan at their discretion.
