Faculty Fellows
The Honors program will house a tenured or tenure-track faculty member to serve in spring and fall semesters as a Faculty Fellow.
The Fellow will develop a general education or upper-division honors course during the Spring semester with the teaching of the developed course in the Fall semester.
The Fellow will assist the director with the following:
- Advising of students’ theses for spring and fall semesters
- Development of a 5-year plan for the Honors Program
- Holding office hours in the Honors office (5 hours a week)
Requirements/obligations:
- 1 year calendar year appointment, eligible for 1-year renewal
- Tenured or Tenure Track faculty member
- ¼ time-release each fall and spring (3 cr hrs/semester)
- Candidate should show excellence in Service, Mentorship, Research, and Teaching
- A brief letter/note of support from the department chair should be included, indicating that the department can accommodate the departure of the faculty member from one course in the fall and spring.
(Department will be compensated at up to the rate for doctorally qualified adjuncts).
