Living Learning Communities

An initiative sponsored by Residence Life and Housing, it is a living-learning environment where students with similar interests live together and participate in programs that cater to their academic, social, and personal needs. Students living in these communities have the opportunity to partake in academic experiences with their peers and interact with faculty, enjoying the benefits of being part of a diverse community that shares scholarly interests.

If you are interested, you may select an option on your application or call the Residence Life & Housing office at 719.549.2602 if you've already submitted your housing application. Note: If you would like to live with a specific roommate and in an LLC, you both must choose the same LLC.

Health Professions

A floor full of like-minded people who wish to take care of others mind and body. Any students majoring in; nursing, athletic training, biology, chemistry, exercise science, or other health related fields will find a home on this floor.


Are you in band, choir, and orchestra or just love music? This is a perfect floor for all music majors, minors, and students with an interest in music.

Outdoor Adventures

For those who love the outdoors from camping to mountain biking this community is a wonderful place to find others with the same interests. Get connected with our outdoor pursuits program which has students camping, mountain biking, climbing, exploring and more!

Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM)

All STEM field majors are welcome to this floor of like-minded scholars pursuing a life in the STEM field.

Social Sciences

Social work, psychology, sociology majors and those interested in social and economic justice will thrive on this floor of passionate individuals.

Sophomore Experience, EDGE

EDGE is the Sophomore Year Experience Program and stands for Education, Development, Growth, and Experience. EDGE will empower sophomores to succeed during their second year by providing tools for academic success, professional development, and a healthy lifestyle.


All students participating in the honors program are encouraged to join this floor of academically focused scholars. Note: Only honors students will be allowed to participate in this LLC.
