Chemistry Laboratory

Classrooms

All four floors of the chemistry building were gutted and the remodel was completed in 2001. The department can now offer its curriculum in state-of-the-art classrooms and highly safe laboratories. Classroom space includes a 92 seat capacity room for our largest classes, a highly-used high-tech classroom equally suited for inspirational lectures or for individual work on the computers for molecular modeling or spreadsheet problems, as well as individual research laboratories for every faculty member. Students also enjoy the use of a 21-station computer lab with up-to-date equipment and a Chem Club room complete with a microwave, refrigerator and couches.

Equipment

Students have opportunities to learn current analytical techniques that are used in modern industrial and academic settings under the guidance of knowledgeable faculty members. The following is a partial list of the equipment the students and faculty member use.
