Admissions

placeholder

The University Honors Program students are selected from hundreds of applicants based on the promise of academic excellence. All program participants must meet the minimum program admission requirements and must submit all components of the written application requirements.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted into Honor's program:

  • Incoming freshmen are invited to apply if they graduated high school with a GPA of 3.8, or a minimum combined ACT score of 26, or a minimum combined SAT score of 1200. An index score determines final eligibility.
  • Current CSU Pueblo undergraduates and undergraduate transfer students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 may also apply to the program. Contact the Honors Program Director for more information.
  • Admission of non-honors students into honors courses is at the discretion of the faculty member teaching the course, with the approval of the Honors Director. Non-honors students may enroll in a maximum of two honors courses. They may, however, apply for admission to the Honors Program if their overall grade-point average and their honors coursework are commensurate with the general standards for admission.
