Southern Colorado Adventure Music Camp

The 2017 Southern Colorado Summer Adventure Music Camp Participants

July 10-15th, 2017

Students ages 6-18 will have a unique opportunity this summer to participate in a strings and piano music camp at Colorado State University-Pueblo that will include daily performances and physical/outdoor activities. The Southern Colorado Adventure Music Camp will be held from July 10-15, 2017 through the University’s Department of Music and Outdoor Pursuits program. This year, there will be two available programs of study the Prelude Program and the Young Artist Program.

  • Young Artist Program: By audition only. Open to students who are interested in focusing on solo repertoire and chamber music. Participants will work closely with camp faculty in private lessons and chamber music coaching.
  • Prelude Program: Open to piano and string students ages 6-18. Participants will work in predominantly group-class settings. No audition video is required. 

Teacher Signature Required:

Students should submit their application with a signature from their school teacher or private instructor as a basis for recommendation.

Audition with a YouTube video by the registration deadline and include the following (please e-mail link to your instrument area faculty):

  • Your name, age, and city.
  • Two contrasting pieces that best demonstrate your playing ability.
  • Two scales that best demonstrate fundamentals of technique


Priority - Both programs: May 1, 2017

Regular - Young Artist Program: May 15, 2017

Regular - Prelude Program: July 1, 2017


Prelude Program:

Priority Registration: $225 (Paid in full by April 15)
After May 1: $275 (Paid in full by July 1)

Young Artist Program:

Priority Registration: $175 (Paid in full by May 1)
After May 1: $225 (Paid in full by July 1)
