Ensembles
All students pursuing the Bachelor of Art in Music must enroll and/or participate in a minimum of one primary and one secondary ensemble each semester (with the exception of when Student Teaching).
If all ensemble enrollment requirements have been completed, the student must continue satisfactory participation in both primary and secondary ensembles until graduation.
Ensembles are determined by the student's declared performance area. The following is a guide regarding Secondary Ensembles:

Other secondary ensembles may be offered as interest dictates and may include Brass Ensemble, Brass Quintet, Flute Choir, Mariachi Ensemble, Pep Band, Woodwind Ensemble, Jazz Combo, etc.
Any student on scholarship may be asked to perform in additional ensembles, as specified by the scholarship award letter.
Failure by any student to enroll/participate in the appropriate and required primary and secondary ensembles will result in revocation of scholarship and/or delay of graduation.
In all ensembles, members enroll for 1.0 credit hour. Grades for ensemble participation are averaged into the overall Grade Point Average (GPA). Tuxedos for men or black formal wear for women is used by all university ensembles. See the ensemble director for more specific information.
