Printing

Please visit the Library and Resource Center for student printing.

Allocation

Students are provided with 35 pages per credit hour that they are enrolled (i.e. a student enrolled for a full course load of 15 credit hours will receive 525 pages per semester).

This allocation is referred to as Tech Fee Printing:

  • The Tech Fee Printing account is allocated per semester and does not roll forward.
  • The Copying/Printing account balance is neither transferable nor refundable.
  • The Copying/Printing account remains for the duration of a student's enrollment.

Large Print Jobs

Print jobs that are over 30 pages in size are considered Large Print Jobs that require a confirmation to print. This is designed to protect against inadvertently printing a large document that could significantly deplete the Tech Fee Printing account.

A pop-up window will appear after the request is made and students have to select "Print" within 15 seconds or the print job will be cancelled without debiting the Student's account. "Cancel Printing" may also be selected to immediately cancel the job.

Other Services

Students looking to print posters or specialty items may utilize the PAW Print and Copy Center located on campus.

Important: The Tech Fee Printing allocation cannot be utilized at the PAW Print and Copy Center.

Purchasing Additional Pages

If a student exhausts their allocation they can purchase additional pages at the Card Value Centers (CVC) located in the first floor of the LARC building or through Auxiliary Services.

The cost is $.05 per page. The CVC's will accept $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills and does not provide change.

Checking Balance

Students can check their printing balance through PAWS by clocking on ID Account Balance. You may view the account balances for the Tech Fee Printing account and the Copying/Printing account along with ThunderBucks.

The Copying/Printing account may also be checked at the CVC's by selecting the "View Acct Balance" key from the display.

Printing Errors

If for some reason the print process gets rejected, contact the Helpdesk to report the problem immediately so it can be resolved and your request can be printed.

Important: If your print job does not print, do not resend the request or your Tech Fee Printing account may be charged for each print job submitted.
