The Department of History, Political Science, Philosophy, and Geography offers competitive undergraduate programs designed to develop student's analytical and communication skills along with a comprehensive knowledge of public policy, politics, current events, and history.
Each program in the department supports the long-standing interest of our disciplines in critically examining topics such as American elections, the presidency, terrorism, public policy, international relations, democracy and dictatorship, human rights, and U.S. foreign policy.
Program Offerings
History, BA/BS
This program prepares students to examine historical events emphasizing how the past shape today’s society. A Secondary Education Concentration is available for students looking to teach at the middle and high school level through this degree.
Minors
Political Science
This minor provides students with the knowledge and understanding of the American political system and global studies.
