The Department of History, Political Science, Philosophy, and Geography offers competitive undergraduate programs designed to develop student's analytical and communication skills along with a comprehensive knowledge of public policy, politics, current events, and history. 

Each program in the department supports the long-standing interest of our disciplines in critically examining topics such as American elections, the presidency, terrorism, public policy, international relations, democracy and dictatorship, human rights, and U.S. foreign policy. 

Program Offerings

History, BA/BS

This program prepares students to examine historical events emphasizing how the past shape today’s society. A Secondary Education Emphasis is available for students looking to teach at the middle and high school level through this degree.

This program focuses on U.S. political institutions, world affairs, and developing the analytical tools to understand current events.  A Secondary Education Emphasis is available for students looking to teach at the middle and high school level through this degree.
