Important CIS Academic Requirements

Build a Strong Foundation From the Beginning

Once enrolled in the Computer Information Systems major, students must meet specific academic requirements as they progress through the program.

C or Higher in CIS Courses CIS majors must maintain grades of C or higher in all CIS courses.
C or Higher in CIS Prerequisites All required CIS prerequisite courses must also be completed with a grade of C or higher.

The CIS degree combines computing, quantitative coursework, business-related study, and advanced technical electives. Students begin building this foundation early in the program.
