Who can take the GED?
- 17 or older: anyone may test (CO residency not required).
- 16-year-olds: may submit an age waiver on GED.com.
- 15 or younger: cannot test in Colorado.
What subjects are tested?
- Reasoning Through Language Arts (150 min)
- Science (90 min)
- Mathematical Reasoning (115 min)
- Social Studies (70 min)
Cost & support
Cost: $43.50 per subject (as of Oct 2025).
Assistance may be available through Colorado Works or your employer.
