ID Requirements
Identification for Testing
Examinees must provide valid physical photo identification in order to test in the CSU Pueblo Testing Center. Use the sections below to see what is accepted and what is not accepted.
Accepted Identification (Quick View)
- Physical Colorado Driver License / Permit / ID card (current or expired one year or less)
- Physical out-of-state driver’s license / permit / photo ID (current or expired one year or less)
- Physical U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card (current or expired less than 10 years)
- Valid U.S. Military ID
Not Accepted (Quick View)
- Photocopied, expired, or digital ID (including photos on a phone)
- Any ID shown on a cell phone or electronic device (including My Colorado ID app)
- Credit/debit cards, birth certificates, Social Security cards
- Other college / international student IDs, employee IDs
Valid Identity and Verification Documents (may differ from lawful presence documents):
- Any physical Colorado Driver License, Colorado Driver Permit, or Colorado Identification Card, current or expired one year or less. (A valid temporary paper license with an invalid Colorado Driver’s License/Permit/ID card, expired one year or less is acceptable — includes documents issued under CO-RCSA SB13-251.)
- Physical out-of-state issued photo driver’s license or photo identification card, or photo driver’s permit, current or expired one year or less.
- Physical U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card, current or expired less than 10 years.
- Valid foreign passport with I-94 or valid processed for I-551 stamps. Exception: Canadian Passport may not have I-94 attached.
- Valid I-94 issued by U.S. Immigration with L1 or R1 status and a valid Canadian driver’s license or valid Canadian identification card.
- Valid I-551 Resident Alien/Permanent Resident card. No border crosser or USA B1/B2 Visa/BCC cards.
- Valid I-688 Temporary Resident, I-688B, and I-766 Employment Authorization Card with intact photo.
- Valid U.S. Military ID (active duty, dependent, retired, reserve, and National Guard).
- Tribal Identification Card with intact photo (U.S. or Canadian).
- Certificate of Naturalization with intact photo.
- Certificate of (U.S.) Citizenship with intact photo.
- Current CSU Pueblo Student ID (valid only for ACCUPLACER and CSU Pueblo Classroom tests).
- Current local high school ID (valid only for ACCUPLACER and CSU Pueblo Classroom tests; high school must be located in Pueblo County).
* As defined by Colorado law CRS 24-72.1-102.
- Any document that is photocopied or expired (including pictures of identification on cell phones).
- Any ID document presented on a cell phone or any other electronic device (including the My Colorado ID App).
- Other college or international student ID.
- Credit/debit card of any kind.
- Notary-prepared letter or document.
- Birth certificate / Social Security card.
- Employee ID card.
- Any document not recognized by a government agency (e.g., library card, club membership card, high school yearbook).
- Identification of a parent or other relative.
