Southern Colorado Association of Nursing Students (SCANS)

Students enrolled in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences are eligible for membership in the Southern Colorado Association of Nursing Students (SCANS), an affiliate of the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA). SCANS is a pre-professional organization that provides nursing students with leadership development, networking opportunities, and access to valuable resources and benefits throughout their academic journey.

Membership offers numerous advantages, including discounts on products and services, representation in the annual House of Delegates, and opportunities to run for state and national office. Students can also participate in NSNA competitions, earn awards, and contribute to shaping the future of nursing practice through policy and professional engagement.
