Simulation/Nursing Labs
At the CSU Pueblo School of Nursing, our Simulation and Practice Labs offer students hands-on, high-impact learning experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Designed to enhance clinical judgment, technical skills, and confidence, these labs are a vital part of both our undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
Our Practice Labs feature a range of clinical supplies, task trainers, and mid to high-fidelity manikins. These resources allow students to build essential nursing skills through deliberate practice and repetition.
In our state-of-the-art Simulation Lab, students engage in realistic patient care scenarios facilitated by trained faculty in a psychologically safe environment. These immersive experiences are integrated throughout the curriculum to promote critical thinking, teamwork, and patient safety.
Each simulation includes structured pre-briefing and debriefing, following best practices outlined by the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSiH) standards of best practice. This ensures meaningful learning, self-reflection, and better preparation for real-world clinical settings.
