CSU Pueblo recognizes the crucial role higher education institutions play in nurturing active and engaged citizens. Research indicates that democratic participation is a habit strengthened over time, with a high percentage of young voters who participated in recent elections expressing a strong likelihood to vote in 2024. By providing these civic engagement opportunities, CSU Pueblo aims to contribute to the development of lifelong voting habits among its students.

"These events are more than just educational experiences," Professor Lucero added. "They're about empowering our students to become active participants in our democracy, both at the ballot box and in their communities."

For more information about the Townhall series and other events, please contact Eddie Lucero or department assistant Kayla Parker.

Members of the media interested in being credentialed for the Townhalls should reach Public Information Officer Gena Alfonso at (719) 671-0929.
