Mountainfilm on Tour Comes to Colorado State University-Pueblo on Nov. 9

PUEBLO - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Department of Mass Communications and Center for New Media will host next month Mountainfilm on Tour, featuring inspirational, visually stunning, thought-provoking documentary shorts. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 in the General Classroom Building 111 on the CSU-Pueblo campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Mountainfilm travels year-round and worldwide with a selection of current and best-loved films from the annual festival in Telluride. Each show is emceed by a Mountainfilm presenter who guides the audience through the program, often sharing personal stories from his or her interactions with the filmmaker or the film's subjects.

Mountainfilm on Tour touches the lives of more than 70,000 people every year and visits more than 150 locations. It extends the reach of the annual Telluride Mountainfilm festival and helps filmmakers’ inspiring content be seen by audiences who otherwise might never have the opportunity.

The CSU-Pueblo event is made possible through generous support from the Department of Mass Communications and Center for New Media, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership, Outdoor Pursuits, the Department of Music, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and several other CSU-Pueblo departments and programs.
