CSU-Pueblo announces 2014 Juried Student Art Show winners

PUEBLO – Colorado State University-Pueblo has announced the winners of the annual 2014 Juried Student Art Show.

Forty-two students participated in the event that featured artwork in the categories of oil paint, pencil and pastels, photography, acrylic, mixed media, pencil, and sculpture.  Winners were chosen for Best of Show, first, second, and third place, People’s Choice, and first and second Honorable Mention. Mike Womack, assistant professor of painting and drawing at University of Colorado-Boulder, served as juror for the exhibition. 

Winners are listed by state and town.

Best of Show (Dean’s Award) - Self –Evident by Ceresa Kennedy, Pueblo, senior

First Place – Untitled by Barrett Skul, Pueblo, senior

Second Place, Untitled by Andrew Heedt, Pueblo, junior

Third Place – Tribal Costume by Miranda Hunter, Pueblo, senior

People’s Choice and Honorable Mention –The Nature of Music by Feliza Estrada, Pueblo, senior

Honorable Mention – Venus Consumed –by Ceresa Kennedy, Pueblo, senior

The art show is sponsored by the CSU-Pueblo Art Club and Associated Students’ Government and is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday until January 23 in the
