Press Release

PUEBLO – Colorado State University-Pueblo’s Master of Business Administration degree was ranked among the top 64 in the country by Military Times’ Best for Vets: Business Schools 2014 rankings. The top 64 business schools are mentioned, and the top 20 are compared in the issues of Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times on newsstands the week of March 10. CSU-Pueblo was one of three Colorado schools, including University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Metropolitan State University of Denver, to make the rankings.

Best for Vets provides service men and women a gauge by which to judge whether a school or program will truly benefit them. The rankings factor in academic quality, outcomes and policies, school culture, student support, and cost. The rankings are published in full in the March issue of Military Times EDGE magazine, the premier publication for military transition, and online at MilitaryTimes.com, as well as ArmyTimes.com, NavyTimes.com, AirForceTimes.com and MarineCorpsTimes.com.

The Hasan School of Business (HSB) is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), the premier accrediting body for business programs.  Less than 5 percent of the world’s business schools have achieved AACSB International accreditation.  HSB offers a Bachelor of Science Business Administration (BSBA) undergraduate degree with majors in accounting, business management, business management with an information technology emphasis, business management with a marketing emphasis, computer information systems, economics, and economics with a finance emphasis.  HSB also offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a joint BSBA/MBA program that allows qualified students to earn both a BSBA and an MBA concurrently.  In Fall of 2014, HSB will extend the BSBA Management degree to the Tower Location in Colorado Springs, I-25 and Circle Drive.

The ranking organization that comprises Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times focused on culture and curriculum that caters to military veterans when conducting and scoring the second annual Best for Vets: Business Schools survey, a highly respected, nearly 80-question analysis of a school’s complete offerings for veterans.

“As with all of the Best for Vets rankings, Best for Vets: Business Schools is an editorially independent news project that evaluates the many factors that make an institution a good fit for military veterans,” said Amanda Miller, editor of Military Times EDGE magazine.
