PUEBLO  - Tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 3 for Colorado State University-Pueblo’s Spring “Booty Tour” Concert featuring three hip hop and rap performers on Friday, April 18. The evening’s line up will include Kirko Bangz, Bubba Sparxxx, and Sir Mix-a-Lot as well as several award-winning student performers beginning at 8 p.m. in CSU-Pueblo’s Massari Arena. Student musicians will kick off the event at 7 p.m. with Bubba Sparxxx taking the stage at 8 p.m.

Tickets for CSU-Pueblo students are $5 in advance and $10 at the door with general public tickets at $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased through Altitude Tickets at www.AltitudeTickets.com . Doors to the facility will open at 7 p.m. Some performers may include explicit content as part of their show. 

Known to the American public as Sir-Mix-a-Lot, Anthony Ray is an American Hip hop artist. Born in Seattle in 1963, he founded the Nastymix record label. Anthony’s first debut album was released in 1988 and reached platinum two years later for selling a million copies. Later,  he debuted another album with the Def American label in 1992, Mack Daddy, which included the single Baby Got Back, a number one hit that went double platinum and won the 1993 Grammy Awards for best Rap solo performance. His latest single, “Cars,” was released on YouTube and has received more than one million views, but the album release date has not been set yet.

American born hip hop artist Warren Anderson Mathis goes by the stage name of Bubba Sparxxx. He hails from 
LaGrange, Georgia, 65 miles from Atlanta. Although Sparxxx lived far from the city, the exposure and reach of hip hop managed to reach him in his small town. In 1996 after graduating high school, Sparxxx made the move to Athens, Georgia, where he decided to pursue a career in the hip hop industry. After having several shows with local talent, he was later seen and signed by Jimmy Iovine of Interscope Records. Although Sparxxx was signed under Interscope Records, he did not release his most recognized song until 2004, when he signed with Virgin Records and released his new single, Ms. New Booty on the album “The Charm.” He later established his own label, New South Entertainment.

irk Jerel Randle is an American rapper and singer who goes by the name of Kirko Bangz.  Born in 1989, he grew up in East Houston, Texas. Later after graduating high school, he went on to Prairie View A&M University, where he obtained a degree in communications. In college, he was able to focus on his music and in the process released his first mixtape Procrastination Kills. His first official single came was released on February 7, 2011. Later, his most famous single ‘Drank In My Cup” was released September 16, 2011.
