Emphasis Areas
Students interested in the Media Communications BA/BS program must choose one area of emphasis. This emphasis area allows students to dive deeper into an area of interest through specific courses.
Electronic Media
Electronic Media consists of radio, television, and interactive media such as web design. Students in this emphasis area learn about each of these components while developing a portfolio for their professional pursuits.

Integrated Communication

Students in the Integrated Communication emphasis will develop expertise in promotional strategies and tactics, integrated communication campaigns, traditional advertising and public relations writing techniques, and audience research methods, all within the framework of digital media technology.
Journalism
The Journalism emphasis provides fundamental instruction in interviewing, reporting and writing for all media and prepares students for careers in the evolving world of print and online media.
