Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan allows you to borrow items from other libraries nationally and internationally, free of charge. Articles are yours to keep, while books, DVDs, dissertations, and other items are typically loaned for 6–8 weeks. Renewals are not automatic and depend on the loaning library's policies.

Borrow Books, DVDs, and other materials

Books typically take a week to ten days to arrive. You will receive an email when your items are ready for pickup at the Circulation Desk. Books may be returned to the Circulation Desk or the Library drop box in the visitor parking lot.

CSU Ft. Collins

Students, faculty, and staff may request items owned by the CSU Ft. Collins libraries directly through SuperSearch. Sign into your Library Account to submit a request.

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, most libraries in Colorado are closed and the statewide courier is currently shutdown. As a result, borrowing and lending through Prospector is limited to select ebooks and streaming videos. Ebooks can be requested through Springer and Elsevier and streaming videos can be requested from Seank and Films on Demand. This video demonstrates how to search for these e-resources:

Borrow books and DVDs from public and academic libraries across Colorado and Wyoming.

Use WorldCat to find and order books and other materials such as DVDs and dissertations from more than 10,000 participating libraries around the world.

Request Articles

If you are unable to find the full text of an article using library resources, look for a link called "Find It@ CSU-Pueblo" or "CSU-Pueblo Interlibrary Loan." You will be redirected to the library's Interlibrary Loan "self-serve" system, where you can submit a request for an electronic copy. Online articles generally arrive within one to three days. You will receive an email with the article attached as a PDF from the Interlibrary Loan Department.
