Honorary Society

The local chapter (Upsilon Zeta) of Sigma Delta Pi, La Sociedad Nacional honoraria hispánica, continuously seeks to recognize the high achievement of the best Spanish students at CSU Pueblo. Active membership is limited to students who have demonstrated high scholarship in general and excellence in the academic study of Spanish.

Students must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Declared Spanish as your major or minor.
  2. Achieved junior status.
  3. Completed 18 semester hours for courses or the equivalent including at least three semester hours of a course in Hispanic literature, Hispanic culture, and civilization at the junior level.
  4. Achieved an overall grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  5. Achieved a grade point average of 3.0 in required Spanish courses.

Sigma Delta Pi members are admitted upon meeting the above qualifications.
