The John L. Garcia Jr. Language Center

placeholder

The John L. García Jr. Language Center offers great resources, services, activities, and events for anyone who wants to exercise their language skills and celebrate cultures in a social academic environment.

Students come to the LC to meet with tutors, have conversations with partners, play board games, do their homework, watch movies, listen to speakers, work on group projects, present their projects to others, have a meal, meet with their clubs, participate in language circles, and even celebrate special days like Día de los Muertos, Carnavale, French Week, or ASL Week.

The LC has a kitchen area, computers, tables, chairs and couches. It is the perfect place to learn and have fun. Most of our events are advertised throughout campus but make sure to stop by and talk to our friendly student workers who are always ready to help.

The Language Center is located on the second floor of the Center for Integrated Health and Human Inquiry. We can’t wait for you to visit!
