Sigma Tau Delta

The department has established a chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta, The International English Honor Society for students at CSU Pueblo. The English Honor Society was founded in 1924 confers distinction for high achievement in English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies. Sigma Tau Delta also fosters all aspects of the discipline of English, including literature, language, and writing, and fosters literacy.

Students must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Must have declared English as your major or minor.
  2. Must have achieved sophomore status. (Transfer students are welcome to apply!)
  3. Must have completed 9 semester hours for English courses.
  4. Must have achieved an overall grade point average of 3.15 on a 4.0 scale.
  5. Must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 in required English courses.

Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society members are admitted upon meeting the above qualifications.

The English student club meets to plan and facilitate projects, educational events, and social events for CSU Pueblo students and the surrounding communities. All majors (not just English majors) are invited to join!
