The Department of Engineering at CSU Pueblo offers a challenging environment where students can learn and thrive on their path to a career in engineering. Each program in the department supports the long-standing interest of our disciplines in critically examining the fundamentals of engineering. Undergraduate Programs

Engineering, B.S. (BSE) with Mechatronics

This program combines the study of electrical and mechanical engineering courses, so that students may understand techniques approach in both engineering-related fields.

Industrial Engineering, B.S. (BSIE)

This program exposes students to be proficient in designing, improving, and installing integrated systems for manufacturing industries.  

3+2: Engineering Joint Bachelor of Science/Master of Science

Earn both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Engineering in as little as five years.

Master of Science: Industrial & Systems Engineering

This program provides students advanced principles in areas of facilities, operations & control planning, economic analysis, design of experiments, and project management.

Master of Science: Mechatronics

This program builds on the existing B.S.E with specialization in Mechatronics and applies advanced principles to formulate and solve engineering problems.

This minor program provides students with an overview of the field of engineering including thermodynamic, engineering graphics, circuit analysis, and engineering mechanics.

This minor provides students with rigorous introductory courses related to industrial engineering including operations research, data analytics, and production system engineering.

Pre-Engineering Program

This program provides courses for the first two years of engineering education for students wishing to pursue an engineering degree other than BSIE or BSE-Mechatronics.

Students in this minor take part in courses that emphasize in sustainability and how it plays a critical role in future science, technology, economics, and social & cultural perspectives.

Lean Green Belt

The Lean Green Belt Certificate Program is a 5-credit hour certificate program housed in the Department of Engineering. Lean is a management philosophy derived mostly from the Toyota Production System (TPS).

The Six Sigma Green Belt program is a method of continuous process improvement which was developed at Motorola in the 1980s.
