About Us
Welcome to the Department of Engineering! The department has a primary mission to prepare the student to be practicing engineers, to enter graduate school for further professional education, or to enter the job market in engineering-related careers.
We offer a competitive engineering program designed to increase students' knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering. We take pride in providing a strong foundation of mathematics, science, and engineering and offer hands-on experience.
Our Industrial Engineering program is the only ABET-accredited program in industrial engineering in the State of Colorado. ABET is the premier certified organization for accreditation of natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology programs.
The department encourages students to obtain the degree at various starting points depending on experience. At CSU Pueblo, 45% of the students are nontraditional college students. We are committed to providing access to higher education for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
