STEM Summer Bridge

2023 STEM Summer Bridge Cohort

MAPS STEM Summer Bridge August 14-16

The STEM Summer Bridge engages incoming STEM first year and transfer students in a structured three day onboarding experience, with the goal of fostering resilience and sense of belonging. Participating students engage in an immersive onboarding and orientation to CSU Pueblo, with program focus on engaging in hands-on college-level STEM activities, identity exploration, financial literacy, career and academic planning, and mental health and personal resiliency as a STEM major. The Bridge Program is held each summer during the week before the fall semester begins.

Benefits of Participating in the Bridge Program:

  • Bridge participants will be paired with a peer mentor in the STEM College that will provide them with weekly support through their first year at CSU Pueblo
  • Participants that attend the full 3 day bridge program earn $300 to use at the CSU Pueblo Bookstore
  • The Bridge Program is capped at 24 students, so participating students are able to make connections in a smallscale group
  • Bridge participants will form early connections with STEM faculty and staff, allowing for quicker acclimation to CSU Pueblo
  • Bridge participants will be continuously supported by the MAPS team, and provided guidance and support when needed to ensure success
