After You Confirm Your Intent to Enroll at CSU Pueblo, All Students Must…

Complete these required steps to prepare for advising, registration, orientation, and your first semester.

Activate your NetID

Your NetID is your CSU Pueblo network identity – it is the combination of your username and password to log in to all CSU systems. The NetID uses your CSU ID, which is a unique 9-digit number starting with “C——–.”

Within two days of submitting your CSU Pueblo admission application, you will receive an email on how to activate your NetID. Your NetID is a network system ID that you will use to log into all CSU systems and to create your university email address.

Complete the Academic Survey

New incoming First-Year students click to complete FIRST YEAR Survey

New incoming Transfer students click to complete TRANSFER Survey

The Academic Survey gives CSU Pueblo information to build your preliminary course schedule.

Returning and Second Bachelor’s students are not required to complete the Academic Survey. See the “Meet Your Academic Advisor” section below for registration information.

Complete Thunderwolf 101 (Online Orientation)

All new students are required to complete Thunderwolf 101, which guides you through completing the New Student Checklist, learning about key academic platforms and campus resources, and fully prepares you for your first advising appointment. Thunderwolf 101 is self-paced and tracks your progress, so you can start and stop as needed. Click the link below to access Thunderwolf 101, and log in using your NetID and Password.

Enroll in Duo

Duo is a tool that provides two-factor authentication to better protect your account by requiring an additional piece of information beyond your username and password. When you access certain CSU Pueblo online services (e.g. Microsoft 365, Teams, email, PAWS, etc.), you will be required to use a device that you have to provide an additional layer of security to your account.

Log Into your CSU Pueblo Email

Once you have been admitted, CSU Pueblo staff and faculty will use your CSU Pueblo email account for information including financial aid, housing, orientation, academic courses, transfer evaluations and more. Check your CSU Pueblo email regularly once you have been admitted. You are responsible for the information sent to your CSU Pueblo email account.

To log in to your CSU email account:

  1. Go to the Microsoft 365 (M365) login page: https://outlook.office.com/
  2. Note: Logging in to M365 resources requires a different log in format than other CSU systems.
  3. In the sign-in box, enter your NetID as the username in the format NetID@colostate.edu. For example, if your NetID is C812345678, your login for M365 is C812345678@colostate.edu. This is a special handle only needed for logging in to M365 resources (Outlook/Email, Teams, etc.)
  4. Enter your NetID password.
  5. Click Sign-In.

After you activate your NetID, you should also establish your university email account (using Microsoft 365). Your email address is formatted with your first name and last name, followed by @csupueblo.edu. For example: Firstname.Lastname@csupueblo.edu. This is referred to as your “alias” and is the public address you supply when someone wants to email you. Your CSU email account stays with you throughout your CSU Pueblo experience.
