Transcripts

Official U.S. High School Transcripts

Official high school transcripts are required for all first-year students and for transfer students who have attempted less than 30 college-level credits after high school. Students are not permitted to upload their own transcripts into the application.  Use one of the following methods to obtain official transcripts:

• Your high school guidance counselor or school official may email official transcripts to info@csupueblo.edu.
• Your high school guidance counselor or school official may mail official paper transcripts to CSU Pueblo, Office of Admissions, 2200 Bonforte Blvd ADM 201, Pueblo CO 81001.
• You may request official transcripts through Naviance using CSU Pueblo’s code 4611.
• You may request official transcripts through Parchment using CSU Pueblo’s code 001365.
• You may hand-carry official transcripts to CSU Pueblo Office of Admissions in a sealed envelope that is stamped “official” by your high school.

Additional Information for recent high school graduates:

• If you are a graduate of a U.S. high school who wishes to be considered for the Merit Scholarship, you must submit an official high school transcript prior to the May 1^st Visit the Scholarship website for eligibility requirements.
• You must submit a final official high school transcript that shows a graduation date. You will not be permitted to register for your 2^nd semester without final transcripts.
• Make sure to request official transcripts for concurrent enrollment college credits, and official CLEP, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate test scores (if applicable) to receive credit for your exams.

Official U.S. College Transcripts

Transfer, second bachelors, and graduate students must submit official college transcripts from every institution of higher learning attended.  First-year students who earned college credit through concurrent enrollment must also provide official college transcripts.  Students who are returning to CSU Pueblo must provide official college transcripts for every institution of higher learning for credits earned after leaving CSU Pueblo.  Students are not permitted to upload their own transcripts into the application. 

Use one of the following methods to request transcripts:

• You may request official transcripts through Parchment using CSU Pueblo’s code 001365.
• You may request transcripts through National Clearinghouse or other transcripts services by selecting “send to individual” option and enter the email address info@csupueblo.edu. DO NOT send transcripts to Colorado State University or CSU Global. We will not receive transcripts that are sent to these two institutions.
• Your prior college or university may mail official paper transcripts to CSU Pueblo, Office of Admissions, 2200 Bonforte Blvd ADM 201, Pueblo CO 81001.
• You may hand-carry official transcripts to CSU Pueblo Office of Admissions in a sealed envelope that is stamped “official” by your prior college or university.

Additional information regarding college transcripts:

• Graduate, second bachelor’s, and transfer students who have earned associate degrees must provide a final official transcript if the degree conferral is not reflected on the first transcript.
• All students must provide a final official transcript if the first transcript shows “in-progress” grades.
• Transcripts from institutions of higher learning are required even if all courses are marked as “withdrawal” or “incomplete”.

ACT/SAT Scores

Official ACT or SAT scores are optional (not required) for undergraduate admission into CSU Pueblo. However, test scores are used for course placement and can be considered in increasing the Merit Scholarship for first-year (recent high school graduate) students.

• ACT scores can be requested here. CSU Pueblo’s school code is 0524.
• SAT scores may be requested here. CSU Pueblo’s school code is 4611.
• ACT/SAT testing agencies offer fee waiver options for low-income students.
• Scores included on your official high school transcript will be considered if all sub-scores and test date are listed on the official high school transcript.
• Students over the age of 23 are exempt from the test score requirement.

Residency Information

We can make an admission decision without completed residency information; however, if we do not receive your information prior to the first day of classes, you will be classified as a non-resident for tuition purposes. Your residency status is determined by the residency status of your parent(s)/guardian(s) until you are 23. If we are missing residency information for you or your parent/guardian, you can complete and submit the electronic Residency Information Form prior to the end of the first semester of enrollment. Character and Fitness Statement

If you answered “yes” to any of the following questions listed below on your application, you are required to submit a statement of explanation.

• Are there any pending criminal charges against you?
• Do you have any prior convictions OR prior disciplinary history at another academic institution (including pending disciplinary proceedings) for stalking, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence?
• Have you had any convictions within the past five (5) years before submitting this application for assault, kidnapping, voluntary manslaughter, or murder?

We may require a more detailed explanation if we find your statement of explanation to be inadequate or incomplete. We understand that providing this explanation can sometimes be uncomfortable, especially if your situation has changed since the incident occurred. Please know that we understand that situations change, and we are also committed to providing a safe environment for all students. Additional statements can be uploaded to your status page.

Statement Regarding Academic Performance

We may request a statement regarding academic performance if your cumulative GPA is below a 2.0 (2.3 for transfer students) or if you have one or more semesters of coursework with a GPA below a 2.0. In general, your statement should include any explanation for the lower GPA, any changes you have made since that time, and the steps you will take to ensure your success at CSU Pueblo. You may upload a “statement of academic performance” under the “Upload Materials” section at the bottom of your application status page.

Copy of Permanent Residency Card

If you are a legally admitted permanent resident (not U.S. citizen), you should provide a copy of your permanent residency card to accurately determine residency status for tuition purposes. If you are under 23, we also require a copy of your parent(s) or guardian(s) card. You may upload a copy under the “Upload Materials” section at the bottom of your application status page.
