Opportunity Now PLANT Grant

Our locally grown and regionally driven solution, Grow Where You Are Planted: Southern Colorado Partners Leading Advancement in Nursing Track (PLANT), addresses the healthcare workforce shortage in Southern Colorado. Grounded in evidence-based practices and strengthened by long-standing partnerships, Opportunity Now PLANT expands access to nursing education, nurse practitioner pathways, and nurse educator programs.

Through regional collaboration between two universities, two community colleges, and key healthcare partners, PLANT supports inclusive recruitment, equitable access, and sustainable pipelines for advanced nursing roles. The project will upskill 45 practicing nurses into highly skilled nurse managers and leaders, nurse practitioners, and nurse educators.
