Research Experience Opportunities
In addition to working with faculty on research projects as a research assistant, students interested in research can check out the opportunities below! To become a research assistant, ask your psychology professors if they are working on research studies and if they are looking for research assistants.
- Discovery Scholars is a mentor program that connects students interested in research and scholarly activity to faculty mentors that could assist in scaffolding research opportunities.
- Although the program is geared toward first-year students, all students are welcome to apply. You do not need to apply for a program in your declared major
National Science Foundation Undergraduate Research Program
- This program allows undergraduate students to gain research experience by working with faculty at other universities. Many are open to students who do not go to the host university and usually cover the costs of travel, housing, and other needs during the program.
