The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Online Program provides an understanding of the various functions of businesses and organizations and prepares students for high-level management careers. Public Management Emphasis

The MBA with a Public Management Concentration provides students with skills and knowledge that will lead to career success in either the public or private sector. Governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations are increasingly looking for leaders who can navigate an ever-changing political and economic environment. Businesses, in turn, value leaders who understand public policy and can help their organization make a positive social impact.

Healthcare Emphasis

Students have the option to pursue their MBA with an concentration in Healthcare Administration. This emphasis may be of particular interest to students who plan to have a career in the healthcare industry, including public and private hospitals, pharmaceuticals, and other medical fields.

    The program requires a 10-hour experiential learning experience as part of the curriculum, which can completed through a healthcare facility, either through current employment or an internship opportunity.

Upon completion of your Master of Business degree, you will be able to:

  • Gain an understanding of the scope of evolution of the public sector, as well as how governmental and nonprofit organizations interact with the private sector to provide public goods and service
  • Critically reflect on challenges, opportunities, constraints, and strategies of management and leadership that uniquely impact public and nonprofit organizations 
  • Apply insights learned regarding the public sector and public management to real-life local and state based public and for profit organizations

Applications for the MBA are accepted year-round.The GMAT is a requirement for admittance into the MBA Online program. However, students can be conditionally admitted and take up to 9 credit hours before having an official GMAT score submitted.The admission requirements are the following: 

Transfer Students: Transfer applicants are degree-seeking students who, at the time of application, have completed
a minimum of 24 credits of college-level coursework. Remedial courses and concurrent enrollment courses (courses
taken while in high school) do not count toward the total credit count.

Admission Standards: CSU Pueblo is a moderately selective institution, and we are committed to providing access
to a 4-year college degree to any student is who academically prepared. We look at several factors to determine your
preparation, including your cumulative college GPA and the courses you have taken at your previous institutions. In
general, students with at least a 2.3 cumulative transfer GPA who have successfully completed all basic skill course-
work will be admitted to CSU Pueblo. Students who have not yet completed their basic skills courses or who have a
GPA below a 2.3 are still encouraged to apply, and may be admitted on a probationary status.

the student has attended. Once the application and transcripts have been received, students will receive an admission
