CSU-Pueblo hosts Graduate Research Symposium on April 18

PUEBLO – Nearly 50 graduate students from Colorado State University-Pueblo will showcase their research on April 18 as part of the second annual Graduate Research Symposium, the only event in southern Colorado showcasing graduate student work.  

This year’s keynote presentation  -- by City Council President Sandy Daff, Biology Professor Moussa Diawara, Associate Nursing Professor Ruth DePalma, and graduate student Sofy Shrestha   -- will highlight the benefits of the campus-community partnership for collaborative research into the potential for children’s exposure to lead found in topsoil around Pueblo.

Beginning at 10 a.m. in the Occhiato University Center, 46 graduate students from the Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Business, Education, Engineering, History, and Nursing departments will showcase their research in oral and poster presentations (details below).  Community members and CSU-Pueblo students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend all sessions free of charge.

Hosted by CSU-Pueblo’s Regional Access to Graduate Education (RAGE) program and the Graduate Studies Board, this year’s Symposium is sponsored by:
