Scholarships

The Department of Music at Colorado State University-Pueblo is proud to present approximately $100,000 in Music scholarships annually through the Caroline Cramer-Voss and Capps A. Capozzolo Scholarship Funds.

These awards provide ample scholarships in music for qualified and talented students Music majors and minors. (Additional awards may be available for non-Music Majors/Minors who enroll and participate successfully in University music ensembles.)

Significant awards are available for all performance areas. Call or e-mail the Department if you have specific questions. In addition, please feel free to contact a faculty member in your performance area (see the Faculty link) to discuss appropriate selections and to ask other questions specific to your area.

Eligibility

In order to receive scholarship awards from this fund, applicants must:

  • Apply and be accepted to the University by March 1st, although late admission is possible
  • Perform an audition for the music faculty (see the link on the left side of this page to Audition Performance Requirements)
  • Enroll, be advised by the music faculty, and register as a full-time student at CSU-Pueblo

In order to receive maximum scholarship consideration, students should also:

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1st for priority scholarship consideration
  • Apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF) by March 1st for priority scholarship consideration
  • Complete the Institutional Scholarship Application by March 1st for priority scholarship consideration (Go to the Institutional Scholarship Application Page)

Scholarships recipients will be required to participate in a minimum of two performing ensembles per semester as determined by Departmental needs and enroll in private lessons on their scholarship instrument.

As students make preparations to visit campus, please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your confirmed audition time. Please bring with you a resume, at least one letter of recommendation from a music specialist, and three copies of your music for faculty hearing your audition.
