CSU Pueblo Admissions

CSU Pueblo considers several factors when determining whether a student is academically prepared for undergraduate study.

GPA Academic performance is considered as part of the university admissions review.
Academic Rigor Previous coursework and the strength of a student's academic preparation may be considered.
Assessment Scores Assessment information may be considered when evaluating academic preparation.
Life Experience Broader experiences may also be considered as part of CSU Pueblo's admissions review.

Marketing BSBA Academic Requirements

Once enrolled, Marketing students follow the Hasan School of Business academic progression and graduation requirements.

1 General Education GPA An overall GPA of 2.000 is required in General Education Skills Component courses.
2 Prerequisite Progression The Hasan School of Business prerequisite course requirement is a D so that a student may progress to the next course.
3 Business Core Courses Business majors must earn a C or better in Business Core courses to fulfill degree requirements.
4 Upper-Division Major Courses A C or better is required in 300/400-level major courses to fulfill degree requirements.
The Business Foundation

Marketing Is Part of a Broader Business Education

The Marketing BSBA includes a 45-credit Business Core that gives students experience across the major business disciplines. This foundation helps marketers understand how customer and market decisions connect with finance, operations, management, technology, ethics, analytics, and organizational strategy.

Business + Analytics Build quantitative and analytical skills through statistics, business analytics, and finance.
Management + Operations Understand organizations, people, operations, quality, and strategic management.
Communication + Ethics Develop professional communication skills and awareness of ethical issues in business decisions.

Progress Into the Marketing Major

The Marketing major includes 24 credits and combines required Marketing and Information Systems coursework with flexible upper-division electives.

CIS 365 Management Information Systems — 3 credits.
MKTG 441 Marketing Strategies — 3 credits.
Marketing Electives 15 credits of Marketing electives allow students to develop a more individualized area of study.
Business Elective 3 additional credits are selected from upper-level Business coursework.
Senior Seminar BSAD 493 serves as the senior capstone course within the Business Core.
Total Degree The Marketing BSBA requires 120 total credits.

Upper-Division Business Credit Requirement

To earn a BSBA from CSU Pueblo, students must complete at least 30 semester hours of 300/400-level Business coursework in residence at CSU Pueblo.

Transfer students should work closely with HSB Advising because final determination of how transfer coursework applies to the degree is made by the Hasan School of Business.
