Available Services and Equipment

The Innovation Lab and LINC offer a variety of technology tools, applications, spaces, and services for our campus community!

Class and Group Tech-Talks

The Innovation Lab is available to book for class or group workshops, walkthroughs, and other special events.

Need to walk your class through accessing and using Microsoft 365? Want your students to gain experience with new-to-them technology like video editing, website creation, and 3D printing and modeling?

Academic Poster Printing Services

Do you have an upcoming symposium or conference you are presenting an academic poster for? The LINC now offers large format printing services for academic posters.

See the requirements necessary to receive a printed poster, including associated costs and approval processes, in our Large Format Printing Policy.

Then, submit the PDF file of your poster through the form at the link below, have it printed, and pick it up in the LINC!

    Large Format Poster Printing

    Need to print a large poster for an upcoming academic symposium or conference? The LINC has a large format printer that can produce posters up to 52x44 inches.

    Printing, Copying, & Scanning

    Patrons can print from library computer workstations or USB devices using the printers located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the LARC. Remote printing is not available in the library. To copy or scan documents on the large printers, users must log into the machine by swiping their ThunderCard. A limited number of small flatbed scanners are connected to computer workstations on the 1st and 2nd floors. Users requiring the scanner have priority for these machines.

    Media Pods

    The reservable Media Pods located next to the Innovation Lab are a great space for holding a Zoom meeting, recording and editing videos, or working on other multimedia projects.

    Need support? The Digital Technology Specialists in the Innovation Lab are only a few steps away and ready to assist you.

    Video Wall

    Have a video project you would like to display in the LINC? Check out the QR codes in this space for guidelines and instructions for how to submit your video project to the LINC Supervisor for approval and posting!

    Equipment Checkout

    Need more equipment? Check the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the LARC to check the availability of laptops, iPads, and Ultrabooks for checkout.

Technology

    Computers & Mobile Large Screen TVs

    The 1st and 2nd floors include both desktop computers and spaces for individuals to plug in and use their own devices. Users must log in with their NetID and password. Community LID cardholders may use computer workstations on the 1st floor across from the IT Help Desk. There are several large multipurpose monitors that can be used for group projects, tutoring, or presentations on the 2nd and 3rd floors as well as workstations with dual monitors for use with personal devices.

    Video Recording Software

    Have a class project that requires video recording and audio? The double-monitor computers on the second floor of the LINC have Camtasia downloaded on to them. Camtasia is a screencasting, video/audio recording, and editing software that can be used for a variety of class and personal projects that have a recording element.

    Need assistance with Camtasia? Talk to the Digital Technology Specialists in the Innovation Lab about your project or schedule a one-on-one tutoring session through Starfish!

    3D Printers

    The Innovation Lab is equipped with four (4) Creality Ender-3 Pro V2 printers and one (1) Creality CR10S Pro V2 for larger 3D print projects.
