Conditions of Employment:

  • Colorado State University-Pueblo is committed to providing a safe and productive learning and living community. To achieve that goal, all candidates who are extended an offer of employment must complete and pass a background check. Some positions depending on the job duties may be required to complete a DMV or credit check.
  • All new hires must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States within 3 days of hire.
  • For positions requiring a degree, candidates must provide an official transcript to Human Resources within 30 days of hire.

Employment Types:

Administrative / Professional Employment Opportunities
Personnel who are Officers and Directors of Administrative Departments, personnel appointed by the Governing Board as officers of the Board, all such professional assistants to these officials whose appointments are by Board action, and administrative employees who do not have an academic rank or title. This does not include State Classified employees or temporary employees.

Classified Employment Opportunities
Permanent employees not included in the Faculty or Administrative/Professional groups are members of the State Classified Personnel System. This system is governed by Colorado Law and requires that candidates for such positions be residents of the State of Colorado.

Faculty Employment Opportunities
All personnel who carry academic rank, academic titles, or special academic status (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Instructor, Lecturer, Adjunct Professor, Visiting Professor, Faculty/Research Associate, Faculty-in-Residence, Endowed Chair/Professorship, and Professor Emeritus), certain administrative officers, and Charter School Faculty.

Student Employment Opportunities
There are opportunities for CSU-Pueblo students to find employment with the college including Federal Work Study, Colorado Work Study and Student Hourly. Please visit the Student Employment Site for further information.

Temporary / Non-Student Hourly Employment Opportunities
The University may hire temporary employees to meet short term and intermittent workload needs. Certain limitations and conditions apply, please refer to the Non-Student Hourly Procedure for more information.
