The Pack Promise

The Pack Promise

The Pack Promise, similar to Colorado Promise for new students, is a free tuition initiative for our current Colorado resident undergraduate students enrolling in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters.

Current students that meet the criteria below are eligible for a one-time free tuition scholarship for the fall and spring semesters.

Eligibility

  • Must be a Colorado resident
  • Must register for classes by July 1
  • Must be eligible to receive financial aid (SAP eligible)
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by May 1 for the Fall 2023 semester*
  • Must have a total family income of $70,000 or less based on the FAFSA
  • Must be a continuing undergraduate student with a gross family income of up to $70,000
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12 credits per semester) and pursuing their first bachelor's degree
  • Pack Promise pays for a maximum of 15 credits per semester
  • Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Eligibility will be determined annually

*Students who are not eligible to complete the FAFSA must complete the Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA) by May 1st for the Fall 2023 semester.

If you qualify for the Pack Promise, you will be automatically awarded free tuition for the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semester. If you have any questions, please contact financialaid@csupueblo.edu.

The Pack Promise Scholarship program will provide awards for the remaining amount of in-state tuition after all state, federal, and institutional grant and scholarship aid has been awarded.

To determine the Pack Promise amount, the tuition charged is reduced by the total dollar amount awarded from other student financial aid awards for the academic year, including, state and federal grants, and all CSU Pueblo institutional grants and scholarships.
