The Department of Art offers rigorous experience-based instruction in the practices of studio art, creative media, art history, and art education. A full-time faculty of working artists and scholars along with accomplished visiting professionals are dedicated to the development of emerging creatives who enrich our society with thoughtful insight, valuable skill sets, and an understanding of the responsibilities that come with visual literacy.
BFA: Creative Media
An intensive professional degree pathway that exposes students to a breadth and depth of study in the areas of creative media: Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Illustration, and Time Based Media.
BFA: Gaming & Immersive Media
An intensive professional degree pathway that exposes students to a breadth and depth of study in the areas of Game Development and Programing, Character Design, Animation, Sound for Games and UX research.

The Art History concentration lays the foundations for careers in teaching, research, and curating at schools, galleries, museums, auction houses, libraries, archives, non-profit organizations, and commercial businesses.
BA: Art Education (K-12 Certification)
The Art Education concentration is designed for students to who seek to become Art Educators for K-12 systems. The programs includes a general studio education in the visual arts, a substantial study in the liberal arts and an extended minor program in K-12 education.

The Art & Creative Media minor is a useful complement to a major in Business, Engineering, History, Media Communication, Music as well as most STEM related majors.
